In pursuance of the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 70, in connection with the 34th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the celebration of Defenders of the Motherland Day, a solemn event was held at the branch of the Russian Chemical-Technological University named after D.I. Mendeleev, permeated with the spirit of patriotism, respect and continuity of generations.

The honorary guests of the event were representatives of the Association of Combat Veterans of Uzbekistan, veterans of the Afghan War, the song and dance ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as veterans of the MFY mahallas “Azamat”, “Ahillik”, “Yuzrabot” and “Traktorsozlar”.

 On this day, songs about the Motherland, courage and military duty were heard in the hall, recalling the price of a peaceful sky and the exploits of the defenders of the Fatherland. The executive director of the branch, B.E. Nurmatov, addressed the guests with warm words of congratulations, emphasizing the importance of preserving historical memory and respectful attitude towards veterans. As a token of gratitude, the participants in the hostilities were presented with memorable gifts.

 The guests were also given a tour of the university branch, during which they got acquainted with the educational and scientific life of the university.

 The meeting ended with a national meal, during which the veterans shared memories of their military paths and front-line comrades. The guests expressed sincere gratitude to the leadership of the branch for the attention, care and memory of the mahalla veterans, noting that such meetings have become a good tradition that continues and strengthens the connection between generations.
