June 20, 2025 in auditorium 105 of the Faculty of Russian Chemical Technology University named after. D.I. Mendeleev held an event dedicated to the International Day of the Russian Language, which is celebrated annually on June 6 on the birthday of the outstanding Russian poet A.S. Pushkin.

This event was organized and conducted by the senior teacher of the department of general education disciplines Fedorova L.I. with 1st year correspondence students. Students, using the material from the presentation they had prepared, talked about the life and work of A.S. Pushkin, and read their favorite works of the poet. A video was shown about the creative heritage of Pushkin, which caused a heated discussion and showed inexhaustible interest in the topic of language and literature, culture and education. |
During the event, the history of the holiday was highlighted, its goals and objectives were announced - the preservation and development of the Russian language and Russian culture.

The guest of the event was librarian L.I. Sokolova, who introduced students to little-known pages of the poet’s creative heritage and gave recommendations on how to join his work online.

At the end, a quiz was held for better knowledge of quotes and excerpts from the most famous works of A.S. Pushkin.
The result of the event was the expansion of students’ horizons on this topic, a reminder of the importance of preserving the Russian language and linguistic diversity, and maintaining interest in the Russian language and culture. The most active participants were rewarded with additional points in the Russian language.
